Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center at Historic Rock Hall Clam House is a United States Coast Guard approved facility for Captain's Courses.
The first Captain's Course at Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center was held in February 2016. Seven students have just completed the March 2017 Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV 6 PAK) week long session and final day testing at the facility with Captain John Sharp of 3 B's Captains School. In total, thirteen students have taken the course at Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center. Students study rules, plotting, navigation and operational methods in preparation for final testing and certification.
Captain John Sharp is a veteran instructor, charter captain and operates Miss Molly Fishing Charters. Captain John also served as Principal of Rock Hall Middle School and is married to April Ashley Sharp. Captain John's father-in-law is Captain Orville Ashley, a Rock Hall watermen who owned and operated the fishing vessel Wanderlust and the Buy Boat Dorothy Foster.
3B's Captain's School has 30 years experience in instruction and certification.
Thank you and congratulations to all students. Our partnership with Captain John Sharp and 3 B's Captain's School enables us to offer courses and testing locally at this approved facility for those interested in pursuing captains, charter and maritime careers.
