We are organizing winter 2016 classes for Captains and Masters licenses at Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center at Historic Rock Hall Clam House. These courses are offered through 3B's Captain's School. These are US Coast Guard approved courses and will be weekend formats.
Your instructor will be Captain John Sharp, a veteran instructor and charter captain. Captain John also served as Principal of Rock Hall Middle School and is married to April Ashley Sharp. Captain John's father-in-law is Captain Orville Ashley, a Rock Hall watermen who owned and operated the fishing vessel Wanderlust and the Buy Boat Dorothy Foster.
Get your Captain's license the easy way with 3B's Coast Guard approved traveling school coming to Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center. This weekend format school is a complete "hands - on" course with a certificate which is proof of competency for the Coast Guard 6 pak license. All Required subjects are covered, including Rules of the Road, navigation, GPS, loran, firefighting, boat handling, fire-fighting at sea, marine communications, aids to navigation, and marine publications.
About Your Master's License : The Coast Guard has approved 3B's to do the Master's upgrade from the 6PAK. It'll be done as a separate course. The way it works is that you first get the 6PAK; then come back for the Master's course where an "upgrade" certificate will be issued so you can take more than 6 passengers on a cruise boat, headboat, water taxi, etc.
About the Cost : All tuitions include the workbook and test. Pricing and dates for these 2016 courses at Rock Hall Marine Restoration & Heritage Center will published soon.
