In a legendary blacksmith and welding shop on the outskirts of Rock Hall, Martin Wagner and his son-in-law Alfred Jacquette built many tools, pieces of equipment and mechanical appartus for the water and the field.
Found in the backyard of a local watermen, on display we have the patent tong rig built for Admiral Larry Simns and the Dawn I. This would be the legendary set of tongs that broke Admiral Simns' notable nose. His dear friend, Captain Bob "Hoot" Gibson was aboard when the break occurred. Hoot would tell Simns not to look at him as he was in fear of passing out. Hoot would tell Simns, "Don't look at me ... are you ok? Don't look at me! "
